AV - How do I activate a card? - Renovación

To fully activate any card, you can perform a transaction at an ATM or shop. In such cases, remember you must insert it and enter the PIN number.

To find out your card PIN, go to menu > Cards > Card management > PIN recovery. Remember that you will have three months to activate the physical card.

If you are renewing an expired card, you can also activate it by accessing the menu > Cards, select the inactive card and follow the steps. Remember that you must wait until you receive the new physical card, as the CVV (also called CVV2) you need for activation is the one printed on the back of the card. Remember that you will be able to use your card until the last day of the month of its expiry date.

To check whether you can use your card, before activating the physical card, go to the “Cards” section in the app to see if it says “virtual”.
