When do I receive my income tax refund?

The Spanish Tax Authority (AEAT) has up to 6 months from the closure of the tax return filing period (from the filing date, if this was made after said period) to issue the income tax refund.

You can verify the status of your tax refund via RentaWeb or the Tax Authority app.

Remember that if the AEAT has sent you a message informing you that it has ordered the payment of your refund, bear in mind that this is done by bank transfer, so the funds will be deposited into your account within 24 to 48 hours.
