An investment portfolio is a diversified set of financial assets, such as stocks, bonds or funds, that an investor owns with the objective of obtaining returns on their assets in the long term. It is mainly characterised by diversification, distributing assets into different classes and sectors in order to reduce the risks of each of the assets separately. Furthermore, it must be aligned with the investor's objectives and risk tolerance, and requires continuous monitoring and periodic adjustments to ensure that the desired asset ratio is maintained.
