What is a debit card?

Debit cards are cards that are linked to your bank account. When you withdraw money from an ATM or pay with it, the amount is instantly deducted from the total balance of your bank account. If the amount of the purchase is higher than the money available in the account, the transaction cannot be carried out and will be rejected.
